Support Workers
We have vacancies for two Support Workers, supporting a young gentleman who lives with his family in Pensilva. You will be required to work weekdays and alternate weekends on a rolling rota basis. You may also be required to cover for sickness and/or annual leave. You may be asked to work in one of our other services when required.

Making it happen- Your Role
This is a responsible Role which is really varied, sometimes challenging and often fun. The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible, make their own choices and do the things they enjoy.
On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting people with the following activities:
Cooking
Cleaning
Washing
Managing Finances
Shopping
Going on holiday/ Days out
Travelling to and from work
Any many more!
About you

We don’t ask for specific qualifications, just that you have the compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect. Previous experience would be an advantage. You will need to enjoy taking part in activities such as swimming and long walks in all weathers. You will be able to plan activities for the day, liaise with the family and be good at problem solving. You will also need the ability to keep calm in all situations. You will be a car driver with a full driving licence.
